Saudi Arabia’s fabled Al-Ula desert has become a new centre of attraction for tourists, music shows and art festivals. It is home to the country’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, the ancient city of Madain Salih (Hegra), which was built more than 2,000 years ago.

The photo exhibition entitled ‘AlUla: un tissage de creativité’ (Al-Ula, the weave of creativity) invites you into the mysterious world of the eastern desert. Until 3 September, the Larvotto beach promenade will be open to extraordinary photographs of the landscape and historical sites of the ‘cultural oasis’ in north-western Saudi Arabia.

Photographers Moat Alofi, Huda Beydoun, Lance Gerber, Catherine Gefler, M’hammed Kilito, Michael Yugoslavsky, Mathieu Paley and Robert Polidori use innovative artistic techniques to illustrate the past, present and future of the region.
