At a press conference in Monaco, Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters Director David Massey revealed how the prestigious tennis tournament will be played this spring and what innovations the tournament organisers will be using.

This year, the 118th edition of the championship will be refereed by the super modern Hawk-Eye precision system and instant video review, which will be able to eliminate controversy. A special sports village will be opened at the Monte Carlo Beach Club for players, their families and friends. Other important news includes a new name for the second court, it will be renamed the Elizabeth-Anne de Massey Court.

The official list of 45 qualified players will be released by 11 March. The draw for the tournament is scheduled for 4 April at 17:00 at the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel.
