This year has been the journey of a lifetime in the four short months that have happened so far. I finally decided that my life should no longer be a victim to the constant task of filling voids to numb the pain that can come on in a second and to absorb it all in for what it is and accept the good, the bad, and the ugly and move forward in a more progressive way. We often run from the bad and the ugly, we don’t want to face those feelings, I most certainly didn’t but I knew it was time too. Time to finally bask in them, the same way I bask in the sun on the hottest day of the year, and accept them, so I can breathe them in and let them go. I have spent these past months changing myself, not because anyone told me to but because I knew I needed to. You can change your life and your outlook, the question is, do you really want to do the work to create something bigger and better? I most certainly did. The changes that seemed so hard, going to the gym, going sober, focusing on my mental health, my emotional wellbeing, and really digging deep into my soul and becoming the person I always wanted to be. The one I am now. The girl that took all of the dirt and was able to grow the most beautiful garden of flowers from it».
